Our Pro Bono help

Each year we work with one or more smaller charities for free (‘Pro Bono’, meaning ‘for good’). If you are interested in being supported Pro Bono, please read the following information.

What sort of charities are eligible for Pro Bono support?

Our Pro Bono support is available to smaller charities – those with a turnover of £1m or less – based in the UK.

We are most experienced in working with charities that support people in the UK. We are open to work in other areas (for example environmental, animal or overseas aid charities) but have less experience in those areas.

What support is available Pro Bono?

We can provide advice on how best to plan and conduct research and evaluation, and how to monitor performance.

We can help to develop a Theory of Change.

We can help to draft an impact report if you already have some impact evidence.

We can conduct simple, time limited online surveys.

We can analyse existing data sets, if suitably anonymised (we can advise on how to do this).

What support is NOT available Pro Bono?

We cannot offer Pro Bono: evidence or literature reviews; more complex or longitudinal surveys; alternative survey formats such as Easy Read, or translation; qualitative fieldwork such as interviews and focus groups; or long term evaluation.

We can advise on the likely cost of the above, and how to conduct them.

How quickly can Pro Bono support be accessed?

This depends on our other workloads. We aim to complete projects within a three month time frame.

What would need to be put in place?

We need a single point of contact at the supported charity.

A signed, zero cost contract needs to be in place, covering responsibilities, the agreed work, and data protection arrangements. This protects both parties. We can provide a draft contract.

What is the next step?

If you are interested in Pro Bono support from us, please follow the link below. If we think we can help, we will request an online meeting to discuss your needs further.
