Ian has over thirty years’ experience delivering analytical projects and leading teams of researchers, economists and data scientists. Ian’s previous roles include:
Karen specialises in interviewing charity staff and clients, and in thematic analysis of qualitative survey data, drawing on her Social Research Association training.
Karen previously worked for Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, and at the Department for Work and Pensions in performance monitoring and social justice teams.
As a volunteer she has provided one to one reading support for primary school children.
Samuel is a data analyst and survey designer, highly skilled in Excel/VBA, SmartSurvey and SurveyMonkey.
He has worked in data focused roles in charities, schools and a major bank, as a maths tutor, and as a Personal Assistant to a young autistic man.
Samuel has a First Class Honours degree in mathematics. He was awarded the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications prize for outstanding performance on the final year of the course. He is also brilliant at solving cryptic crosswords.

Alice is a values-led Honorary Research Associate based at the University of Surrey. Specialising in qualitative research, she brings a person-centred approach to her work, with a particular focus on neurodiversity and mental health. Alice specialises in producing accessible, high-quality outputs and putting participants at ease by fostering thoughtful, accessible and inclusive discussions.
We work with a small, trusted network of data analysts and researchers. Reflecting Ian’s background in autism research, a number of our colleagues are neurodivergent.
